Sacrificing your Children to the God of this World

I'll admit my bias from the beginning - we homeschool and all that this entails.

So I guess to many it won't be a shock when I state that I see raising a child as a parent's primary God-given responsibility.

Why then are so many children being sacrificed like a modern-day Isaac on the alter of socialism?

Within socialism is the notion that children are owned by the community. This notion subtly removes the authority a parent is given and 'shares' it with others who choose to live in the same environment.

Once when communes and kibbutzim, were common place, the community raising a child would have reinforced the parents values and practises.

Today we are a conglomeration of people, living in domestic buildings, surrounded by commercial buildings - part of a human ecosystem. The commonality is our location but certainly not our beliefs, especially when politicians are in charge of societal engineering, all in the name of progress.

What then are christians doing leaving their children in state school unless they want them to be overtly influenced by secularism? What are pastors / missionaries doing when they choose to leave their children in boarding schools so they can concentrate on their real work for God

What mandate is this?

What happened to your Jerusalem, then Judea and Samaria, and the ends of the earth? (ie your home, community, city, country)

Why do we have children if we are not willing to be serious about passing on God-given values and hope? Surely this world needs more of that?
